Declared Long-DeadBy shadow_filesFebruary 24, 2008The title really explains most of this article; the Death Triangle is long-dead and had one been tracking the events of the Triangle, one would have realized that from the dawn of the Death Triangle, it practically was already dead. The Triangle was an idea, an idea of Runescapers who happened to know each other in real life sitting at a lunch table and discussing how one day they could "utterly own" the whole of the Wilderness. In any case, even had the Death Triangle not ceased to exist, it's last threads surely would have severed by now with the infamous late 2007 change of the Wilderness. Nonetheless, the Death Triangle probably would never have rose into emergence had I, shadow_files, not suggested the idea of a player killing groupd then furthered it after the highly received approval by suggesting names for the player killing group. The Death Triangle, as you could imagine, was among this list of names. But afterwards, it only took me one player killing trip to come back down to earth. Player killing was not for me. I was a skiller at heart and did not belong in a player killing group; the single player killing trip had renewed this realization. On top of that, one of the members of the Triangle instantly grew a paranoia of the Wilderness after one death. Today, I am and have been a skiller, knowing that player killing is surely not my style of playing Runescape. The others still player kill individually or among various other people, but for me, the Death Triangle represents a confirmation that player killing is not my path; I can rest content without the shadow of a possible alternate world of gameplay experience whispering a faint call of seduction. |
