Who's Shadow_Files?

Shadowfiles, shadowfiles, shadow_files, Shadow_Files. No matter which way or how many times you've heard it(and if you're browsed the site enough to have found this page, you've probably heard it plenty), you've probably already realized that shadow_files is an important part of this site. You've also most likely realized that shadow_files is the person who owns this site. Well, you'd be right on both points if you did think them.

And, since you've come to this page, you are probably looking to learn more about who exactly this entity of shadow_files really is. Well, I am shadow_files as I write this page, type this page...one letter at a time. The Guthix Network is essentially my profile site, but it also doubles as a Runescape fansite and site for my little group of friends, the Death Triangle. I have always thought of having my own profile site, a site made for the purpose of organizing the ideas of who I am. In this case, the site is centered around Runescape, an MMORPG(Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Palying Game) that I enjoy playing. Of course, if you are even at this site to being with, you probably already know what Runescape is. You probably know that Guthix is, in Runescape, the god of balance. You may even be quite likely to already know shadow_files, me, very well since this site would mostly be known to those who are already my friends.

Even though I have already told you alot about who I am by simply typing in the rather meaningless babble of preceding text, I shall now go on to the point of this page, to tell about myself. I will say that by simply clicking on this page and having known its title in which you could automatically correlate with an "About Me" page, you were already forewarned that reading this page may just be a rather boring process as "About Me" type pages are commonly portrayed as being boring. Truthfully, I have met only a handful of people like me who share the joy of reading such pages, and I have met even less who share the joy of creating such pages. But, I will be honest; I do enjoy writing "About Me" type pages quite a bit, and I write them quite quickly, so I might find myself just continuously writing more and more about myself in an "About Me" type page. And, of course, I do like to write in general, but writing "About Me" type pages, in particular, interests me. I guess you could say it's due to the lack of research and thought required in writing such a page as an "About Me" type page. Certainly, I do not require any need of researching my own thoughts and feelings nor should I have much need to think much of my own thoughts and feelings. It is, well, a page that is created simply to describe me, and I can let my personality reflect through it infinitely with no restrictions at all. It also occupies me to write such pages, too, I guess. Of course, no profile site would be complete without such a page.

Anyways, if you couldn't infer from the title and addresss of the site, I am a follower of Guthix. I am solidly a follower of Guthix; it is highly unlikely that I would ever choose a different Runescape god to follow as neutrality reflects me. As far as decisions go, I have always been torn between equally-weighing outcomes as I have no definite priorities listed above once another. I have always been an "unpolarized" person. In any arguments, I rarely take sides. Rather, I tend to become more like a judge, I analyze both sides of the argument and think from the perspective of the arguer with the arguer's priorities and biases in mind. Of course, that doesn't mean I am a completely unbiased person. I do have my own opinions on several things, but the funny thing is that many of my opinions contradict one another. Ultimately, I acknowledge myself as a hypocrite though I realize that to avoid hypocrisy in any form or fashion completely is to be near-divine. So, I guess it is fitting that Guthix, the god of balance, is the one that speaks to me most.

As far as in-game Runescape goes, I am a skill trainer. Skills prioritize before combat or money for me. Money, though, does result as a side-effect of my typically rather relentless skill training. When I set a goal for a skill, I tend to endlessly work as long as I am on the computer on toward achieving the desired level. However, I set time limits for myself, and if I do not reach my goal in my own alotted time, I then just move on to the next skill. Talking with other people is the only part of skill training that seperates it from pure monotony for me. It's a habit that started hanging on after long hours of monotonously fletching as I tapped my feet in a metronome. It became as if I was just washed away mindlessly into the metronome, just clicking and clicking. Well, I may cover the whole thing of my ideals of the whole concept of skill training on another entirely different page at some time in the future of the site.

Aside from skills, I also like to quest in Runescape. I do many quests as they come out, and I enjoy the plots of quests as I mentally create links between them or conjure up possible sequels to quests based off of any certain detail tha may be manipulated or further detailed in any way. And, of course, to not do what quests I can would be to miss out on a certain aspect of the whole scheme of Runescape's world, like havin a piece of the puzzle missing. Indeed, the puzzle that is Runescape goes on infinitely until Runescape closes all the unfilled gaps, but it is unlikely that they ever would do so since that would be the end of new quests, and it would be nearly impossible to do anyways since every new quest creates many different new gaps to be filled in the puzzle. In any case, speculation and analysis is quite a fun process.

That's all I'll really get into too much detail on about myself for now. As far as my real life goes, well, you don't really need to know too much about that, do you? This is a Runescape-based site after all. I'm a rather boring person anyways; I guess you could say I just border being your stereotypical geek. With that said, there is on last statement to make that no "About Me" type page is to go without...

Wow, how the heck did you manage to read through all my babble of pointlessness to reach the bottom?! Well, if for any reason you feel that this page does not completely portray who I am, you could continue the tedious journey of reading my babble by reading a page about my personality.
